Welcome to NP

Your housing looks great, very professional looking. Kudos.

Could we see some more pics?

Cheers

I'm in the beginning stages of this also, just drilled some trashed housings over the weekend. I'm interested in your actual port tubes, are those flanges welded on to the tube? They look over an inch thick...

And are you going to tack weld the tubes to the housings, I'm wondering how much weight and vibration they can hold up to.

As for shaping the inside of the p-port, my understanding is that you just bevel it like the exhaust port in order to avoid a sharp edge for the apex seal to catch on.

Hey now those flange are not welded on the hole tube has been machined out of a solid bit of aluminum as for the flange looking an inch thick thats because it has the manifold flange bolted on as well this flange has to have the tube going up to your fuel set up welded on to it as for how the tube is set in the housing first off i used a hole saw to cut the majority of it out then using a boring head on a milling machine i bored the hole out to 50 mm in diameter i then bored it out to 55 mm but not going right through stopin 3 mm away before it would break through into the housing there fore leavin a shoulder that the tube could sit up against the tube at the moment is held in with a 4 thou interference fit hope this helps you i have also posted a couple of images showing the sleve and also how it sits against the shoulder in the housing cheers jacob

Thanks, I thought that flange looked two-piece after I posted...Nice job with cutting the shelf, I wish I could do that but all I have is a simple drill press. Do you have pics of the ports (outside) without the tubes in?
