Old 12a Questions

I have had the opportunity to tear down a few of these engines from junk RX-2/3's.
I have one good running on from an RX-2 that ended up getting a newer engine during its conversion into an ITA car.
IF needed there was a source i used as of about 2 years ago that had several of these engines, parts etc still in the crates

as i recall the e-shafts are interchangible.
Use the counterweights which match the rotors you are going to use.
if you have the option, use a 81/82 rotating assembly. although the 83-85 rotors are lighter, the 81/82 assemblies are much lighter overall.
the e-shaft should be balanced itself.
Let us know how this works out.

Also i am going to try filling in the collent passages where the bolt pattern is differn't on the housings( in 2 spots but only one cooling passage needs to be filled) then use the old bolt hole for a cooling passage, we have figured out how we are going to do it so it will fit the newer 12a plates, the old ones were just to perfect to not use
