whats the allowable slack..

mine shows as five eighths of which im assumin is too loose...

cant find the allowable play in the manual..

I usually chuck them when they get past 1/2" play. I've never heard of one letting go, but they do get noisy.

If the slack is more then 12mm replace it. I replace most of the oil pump chains. I barely find one up to specs.
