I just finished up my jig for doing peripheral ports (or semi-PP, and the exhaust too). I made it so I can adjust the jig to do a few different degrees of entry for the P-Port. I have a junk housing i will test it out on first to check for any vibration. It's heavy duty and I doubt will have any problems.

Any way, I was looking at it and noticed I can easily modify it a bit more to drill/mill/tap ect. where the oil metering jets would normally be. I normally do not run the stock OMP anyway, and usually use a bolt to block these off.

I then got an idea to put it to some kind of use. Maybe this could be a spot for an extra fuel injector or to replace the factory primary injector location. Or even a spot to inject meth for turbo cars.

Ideas? worthwhile? or just leave it the hell alone?

i'm thinking an extra injector there might be good... but i'm bit sure how well it would atomize with it not coming in with the intake charge (purely speculation)

On a side note... you just gave me an idea of where to possible put the meth injection on my 20B car.

i think you might be on to something with the injector idea, particularly if it's some sort of auxiliary fuel, but i'm sure it could supplement your regualar fuel supply, too, if necessary.

The idea came from thinking about the benefits of direct injection, fuel milage and power. But they inject a lot later and that's why they need some kind of crazy fuel pressure. Also the reason most direct injection cars cant make much power. No way to supply enough fuel. But moving it to this area would be semi-direct injection (what? lol) and would not have that problem at all.

At first thought using it as a place to inject meth (not water) seems like the best idea. But I believe that using meth as a chemical coolant is best used earlier on in the air stream. This way it has more time to soak up the heat from the compressed air. But this is merely just a guess. I have no idea if injecting meth there would be better than pre-throttle body/pre-turbo or not.

Also, placing in regular fuel injector could also be used in an NA application. I never liked the place of the primary injectors.Blocking the nice clean flow to the motor and causing unwanted turbulance. swapping them to the oil injection spot would cure that also.

I would just hate to destroy a good TII housing and this not work, lol. They are getting harder and harder to come by these days.

Test on an old housing. I wonder if that's where Mazda put the injectors for their hydrogen powered rx8. Hydrogen has to be direct injected and puts a ton of stress on piston engines due to it's volatility.
