I have a 13b Cosmo in my car. First let me just thank you for simply offering advice!

The motor didn't come with the turbos (I opted not to get them), so I really have no idea how oil was connected to them. It could very well be that something needs to be blocked off that isn't being blocked off. Where should I look? After I clean up the oil of course, haha.

there are 2 oil drains on the 13b-rew and the 13b-re engines. when you are goign single you need to block off one of the drain holes, usually the rear.

100% correct diagnosis kahren. How could I miss the giant hole in the side of the block? I'll never know.

Looks like I'll be needing something to block that off and then some fresh oil since most of it ended up on the garage floor.

I also got my gasket in yesterday, so I'm going to put that on tomorrow to solve the exhaust leak. If you take a close look at my pics, you'll see that the old oil return is right above my wastegate, which explains it being splattered with oil.

When I took off my downpipe I noticed a nice line of oil all the way down it as well as some oil hanging out in the v-band flange of my turbo. Could I have put the restrictor on backwards? Or maybe the restrictor I have is not enough?

even if the restrictor pill for teh pressure line is too small, the drain shoudl still not leak, it happens once in a while where the oil drain flange gasket doesnt seal well and leaks oil. so check that out and make sure all is well.

Hmm let me describe this a little bit better.

I'm not using the stock oil drain, I have my T04R draining to the oil pan through the front cover. Oil isn't leaking out of the drain, but oil in liquid form was in my downpipe and the v-band flange...does that make sense? Or maybe I just misunderstood your last comment...

if you ran the car, i dotn know how the oil could stay unburnt in the downpipe, unless there was a lot of oil and you ran teh car only a few seconds

It was on for maybe a second. As soon as I heard my dad shout "oil" I cut it off.

Get it running again and watch it. You'll have to have it running for a few min to get all the oil out of the engine if there was any in there. If oil still comes out your DP check your plugs and pull the front part of your turbo off to have a look at the turbine wheel to see if it's soaked. If the plugs are clean you know it's the turbo leaking. What size restrictor are you running and how much oil pressure?

Good to hear it's running now! (sorta running)

Here is the oil restrictor I am running. It's a 1.8" NPT fitting, .06 restrictor. I just removed the manifold and turbo and noticed a little bit of oil sitting in the v-band portion of the turbine. This explains the oil running out of the downpipe. The oil on the wastegate was just splatter from the stock oil return. BTW, are there block off plates that exist for this? I checked 2751 Engineering and they don't make one, so maybe I'll have to make my own. At any rate, there wasn't any oil sitting in the wastegate, so that's good. I also can't find any oil in my manifold.

I don't know what oil pressure I'm running because I don't have a gauge. Is there some standard pressure it should be running at?

I also took off the restrictor just to make sure I installed it right. I think I have...the restrictor (smaller) side is what goes into the turbo cartridge.

Let me go check the plugs!
