I accidentally forgot to run a FPR in my car one time after I did an engine swap, the car would start and run for a very short bit
With no fuel pressure
Pump was just zinging the fuel around in a big loop
But it ran

The fuel pump is connected in this way: one orange wire to the batt+ and the other to the + side of the fuel pump. The fuel pump is then grounded to the chassis.

The FPR of the secondary rail is all I have hooked up, I do not have one for the primary rail.

Alright I bought a fuel pressure gauge and hooked it up in between the fuel feed and primary rail. When the fuel pump primes, it pegs the gauge way far beyond what it's able to read (0-15psi). This doesn't change with the FPR hooked up or disconnected. It also doesn't change if I have the injectors turned on or off.
WTF?!
What should the correct fuel pressure be?
I should also mention that when the car started, with the injectors off, it continued to rise in RPM until it died, almost like the fuel pressure continued to increase...

It's running because the pressure keeps rising...I'm not sure if it's possible for the pressure to continue to go up if the pump isn't running.
