No One Removing The Ring Gear?

Even though there is a roll pin there is still a smaller hole in it..
OKAY so DOES this or does this NOT lube the chain..
I'm putting my front cover on and reinstalling the motor tomorrow. Any insight would be appreciated.

Setzep, thats a good observation about the oiling of the chain..
But really I think the chain is oiled via the spill over from the thrust and main bearings from the e-shaft, via the deflector/drip plate that bolts on with the oil pump, its a similar setup to most v-8' in thats reguard that oil the timing chain, via camshaft bearing spillover, and run it down to a drip plate.. Find a picture of 318, or even a BB mopar, you will see pretty much the exact same setup for oiling the chain...Looking at the roll pin and stuff in the front cover, that would be a pretty space to force any oil through with enough authority to lube the chain..Max
