Banzai isnt screaming, he just reminds you it would be better to drill an undersized hole and ream to the proper size.

Also: I would not use "RED" Loctite: aka THREADLOCKER

I recommend "GREEN" Loctite: AKA SLEEVELOK

Green is designed for PERMANENT installations

See green X. There is a hole there, and the shaft is tapered in the midsection.(as I tried to illustrate, sorry I don't have a camera on hand). The MOP feed line goes right into the middle of the midsection and has a hole on the opposing side.

Just a theory though... It crossed my mind but I could be off base..
I've mirrored the iron so we can look at the the position of everything...instead of trying to "visualize"

Question: Does oil really squirt out that hole??? To lube the chain that is near it?

Or is it a relief for the metering process or something similar?

sorry for the multi posting of the pics...MODS: delete unnecessary pics (I couldn't edit)

Does anyone know what size orifice is in the front plate? I forgot to measure when I had my front cover off. At 60 psi (or higher) I'd say it squirts out the hole far enough to hit the chain, if the chain is in line that is.

I'll try to remember to measure it this weekend.

This Is the last tidbit I have to do before I assemble this weekend. I've opted to tap It Into the Front Iron. It's a good thing I questioned this ring gear than.

I noticed the pin but it doesn't block the hole completely. That was just a thought of mine.

Scathcart since you don't have the pictures ready yet can you explain as best you can? I'm ready to put my front cover back on as well.. I'd appreciate more insight on this before I slap it on.

Roll pin? Mine didn't have one in it, just a open hole.
