I know this can be done with other cars, but im not sure about 7's. To get rid of the MAF sensor can i add a GM (same one you get with any standalone) 3 bar map sensor? Has anyone tried this? Reason being I have yet to recieve my mircotech and i really dont feel like running my MAF. Its on a s5 t2.

Another topic im bringing up is the oil injection system on a s5. I know on the s4 you can remove it and run premix with the stock computer. But somewhere i heard that a s5 you cant, because it detects the oil injection not working and goes into retard mode. Is this true? I dont want to have to take my oil injection system all off 3 weeks from when i put it all on. Thanks

I don't know much about the microtech but read the manual and see if it gives you the option of running map or maf.

(with the microtech you can use the GM 3 bar map sensor as an upgrade to the 2 bar that comes with it)

Microtech will not run an electronic OMP at this stage. The next revision may. Or the other option (what I'm doing) is to keep the factory computer and piggy-back the microtech, allowing the factory to control omp, idle control etc, but the microtech will do ign and fuel.

I'll go with the premix, which goes back to my original post. What problems occur when you take off the oil injection system with the stock ecu?
