I had a cad design for a rotor cut but the shop fucked up lost the program. So the time it takes for some one to do it.....then sent off for dynamic balance its gets real expensive for what little gains you will find.Plus shipping a set of rotors..not too light.

However what I did was go to the local tech school....gave them a rotor and had the engineering design the cad path and then they sent to the shop.FREE

FYI

Honestly, how much material can you take off of a rotor. I have seen one first hand being machined down first hand, and it doesnt seem like there is much room to spare to take material, being that there are all those hollow chambers in there???

11lbs is still high if your going all out. There use to be an all aluminum fly wheel that was used with the quartermaster double 7.5" that was lighter than that.If your going all out PP

then your probably in GT2 and I dont see why not go to the 13b even with the weight increase.Did you buy the lightend E shaft or did you get a machine shop to cut that little bit off? You should have it balanced after.

lol funny thing is i am building the car for a fun car it is not going to be in anyraces other then autocross and some draging. The lightened e shaft is from an old 12a with dual distributers, i am going to have the whole thing balanced anyways

Carlos Lopez at CLR Motorsports can lighten and dynamically balance rotors. He can take low compression TII rotors and lighten them to 93 FD spec weight. Can also do a few other mods which will allow for the intake ports opening sooner, sort of a bridge port without the actual bridge port. All done on the rotor. He can be reached at clrotary@bellsouth.net. He'll steer you away from using 93+ rotors however as they're inherently weaker than the low comp TII rotors.
