Thumbs up

If you had safety wire going from bolt-to-bolt, the snapped bolt(s) wouldn't be able to rattle out and get smacked by the flywheel. Right?

the "how to modify your rx7" book has a pic of another method. they just cut a flat plate about the diameter of the rear of the housing, and it then gets bolted with the stat gear bolts.

so the tension bolts can break but they can really go anywheres

I'd say less likely to hit the flywheel, but SS saftey wire is soft and can be stretched. The distance between the bolts may be too great for this to be effective all the way around.
