I tried over the winter... I wouldn't call it a rebuild. The only thing new was a $120 gasket set. EVERYTHING else was pieced together from 3 blown 12A's. The finished product has LOW compression and sounds like it wants to start... I'll pull it apart again... I BET the next time I get it to run... I've learned SOOOOOO much since then.

so did everyone buy rebuild kits or specific parts from dealer?

I havent rebuilt one yet....





but my dads third gen is loosing water somewhere so im guessing i might be having a go soon, it cant be that hard.... can it?

all of the parts have to come from mazda anyways (unless you buy different apex seals, atkins for example)
