Hi every one

I have a 1984 Rx-7 with what I beleive is the stock 12A, has a header which I think is terribly built and a Holley 650 DP on a RB intake.

Now to my question I am not sure wether this is the RB modified Holley because the linkages are all wrong. I have been trying to bring the idle speed down but everytime I mess with the setting it will just keep dropping down lower until the car just dies. At about 5500 RPM you hear it bog a bit as the secondaries open.

Fuel pressure is set to 5.9 PSI and it has the correct float settings.

what are the RB jet sizes for primary and secondaries on these monsters.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From the desk of the FNG thanks, OUT!

oh and btw whats up Judge Ito ?

Judge Ito does some wicked port jobs...

As far as carbs, I tried getting the same info and got nothing. RB won't tell because it's proprietary stuff... If someone who had one would rip it apart for us, the world would be a much happier place.

Thanks for the responses guys. As I find out more I will Post it here. I should be going in to see the Judge this weekend to get a clutch upgrade.

P.S. In a perfect world I'd be running 10's...lol

Well the "Judge" tells me that the 2 screws on the sides of the metering block control the Air Fuel mixture for the 2 primaries. So make sure that both needles are evenly set(if you back one out back the other one out the same ammount).

Also I will need to drill out 2 holes on the primary throttle plates (7/32") in order to drop the idle clearance to 0 to fully engage the Idle Circuit in the primary metering block.

Hope it helps I will post results.

I have about he same setup... 650 holley w/rb intake. .I am new at this but I have eng told by the experts on the field hera at miami that the holley requires at least 6.lb of presure, you are saying that youhave it at 5.9, check that out with other experts. I be keeping and ye in yuor responses.

My problem are the floats, they are getting stuck too often, mostly when I go hard at it a few times. . Hope it helps

Have you opened the Holley yet? A easy way to tell if its been RB modified is to check if the power valve has been blocked. I've purchased two units from them and both had blocked power valves. Linkage was correct on both units.
