Fd Bridgeport Twin Turbo, Has/can It Been Done?
#1
Ok, my money is starting to pile up and I need something to waste it on.
Has anyone built a 13 Bridgeport Twin Turbo using non factory turbos.
What turbo's did they use and how were they configured? (e.g. linked pipes for wastegate and twin or single intercooler feed)
Any info is most appreciated.
Oh, this will be a track car so durability is not too much of a concern as long as the turbos dont end up eating apex seals I will be happy.

Hi Rage, I've often entertained the idea of using a pair of twin (small) TO4's with large T3 back-ends on them for a half-bridge setup. With the right exh manifold setup and EFI system, I bet it could be made to work.
Overall, though, I vote for using a single.

initially i used a set of pettit twins (clipped stockers) on my half bridgeport and was very happy with it... although it ran outta breath at the higher rpms... i went to a single shortly after that.
It's not aftermarket twins ..but figured i'd chime in anyway.

I'm doing twins on my FD right now. I'm doing a huge street port though. Ill post up dyno results soon, if it works well the kit might be sold. I'm looking for 500+ at 14-15psi and there is TONS of room to go

Yes it wil work and it will work well .I was looking into it a while ago , I found that the complication and added expense wasn't worth it . I wanted to use a pair of dual ball bearing GT30R turbos , but one of them is about $1300 , I was going to custom make my manifold , 'cause a ready made one would have cost about $800 and the DP's are another cost. I decided to stick with a large single but switch to a dual bb to get even better response than I got with the TA51 , hoping to have the GT42RS soon .
