Bought these for a pretty good price, S5 housings with a port already (seller thought it was stock) Need folks to look at these. They will be used with a extended side port S5 series plates and a TA45 HKS turbo. Do I need to open the top edge a little more to get rid of the slight "D" shape or should I just clean them up and use as is?

They look a hair bit jagged and rusted. They need to be cleaned up with a very fine grit sanding flapwheel, say 300+ grit to get the crud off and shine them up a bit. They look like they'll work to me.

I plan on cleaning them up, just not up to speed on all the port timing mumbo jumbo, I know my other housings have an extremely large port, and are being worked on right now to get the sleeves to match up to them. Thought I would try these first till my other ones show up from Japan

Ok, I have the sanding bits, I'll run the bevel, but you think this will be ok with the big turbo?

Should be fine after a clean up and you need to add the bevel ITO mentioned.
