Right now my car is pretty much stock outside of emissions, ps and ac being ripped out. I want more power but i probably don't have the money to go all out with the mods. I've got roughly 1 grand to drop right now. I want to get exhaust and intake, but i dont want to have to deal with ripping it back out and putting stock back in when i go autocrossing. So my question is this. Would street porting my engine be a feasible alternative? I won't have to replace anything inside of my engine as i have a fresh rebuild, but at the same time that is another problem, following the if it isnt broke why fix it guidelines. Anyone have any insights on this?

Why do you need to remove your aftremarket exhaust for autoX? class rules or noise?

Jim told me that having exhaust and intake bumped me into the same class as vipers and vettes, where by having stock exhaust and intake will let me run in a stock class.

You can get a street port, and keep it all stock. You dont even need to port the exhaust. There will be a nice difference.

No an after market exh. and intake will not bump you to the class with vetts and vipers. but it will put you in a higher class. and do the bolt ons first. see what you get.
