I'm in the middle of cleaning my engine pieces and have been reading through the posts which discuss painting. Lynn E. Hanover has suggested using Rustoleum enamel, just want to make sure I understand - does regular Rustoleum stand up to engine heat OK? Or is there another line I'm not aware of?

If enamel is OK then my next question - do you guys primer first or just use the final color?

Thanks again,

Jeff

Ive always used the high temp engine paint from duplicolor. No primer, just clean the housings good, degrease, and paint.

I would make sure whatever you buy is high temp.
