Different Apex Seals?

I am rebuilding a 12A. It has the 3 piece seals and was wonder if there was 1 seal that was bad but the other 2 were good, could i replace it witha 2 piece since they dont make them anymore?

Those are not the thing you wanna go half assed on. Spend the money and get a set. Does anyone even sell a single apex seal?
