hi guys i just rebuild my motor and i have done like 500km run in and my car started to do missing......ppl tell me to do compression test..i am kinda confussed how to do a compression test at all three rotor points as the only tool we have here is the normal compression meter that u stick in the plug side press the accel and give it a self so the engine spins around giving a reading at the meter...but how would i know if all the 3 points are making the compression....... your help would really mean a lot to me.

regards

You need to remove the check valve from the tester so the needle can 'bounce' with the compression strokes. Strong, uniform bounces means all 3 sides of the rotor are good.

You should be able to just hold the button in on the compression tester. That way you can see 3 bounces, one for each face of the rotor. All 3 should be the same. I don't think this method is very accurate, but it will at least tell you if you have a seal problem. I think two low bounces and one high one would be either a bad corner seal or bad apex seal, and 1 low one and two high ones would show a bad side seal.
