I'm gonna have to disagree, 14's are pretty slow.

even a dodge srt4 goes 13's bone stock.

to me, 13's are quick, 12's are fast, 11's and below without nitrous and i'm impressed if it's a daily driver with some exceptions, FD's and Supra's especially.

edit: I know you said 'commonly seen' non turbo cars, ok yes, I'll agree with you, 14's are fast for crappy cars in stock form, but they're crappy cars, so on the grand scale of things it's a slow time.

I agree with that wholeheartedly.

That's why I gave it a different class of non-turbo 6 cylinder or less commonly seen cars.

Remember we are also talking about daily drivers. Cheap daily drivers. SRT4 is turbocharged, and a newer machine.

Find me an older daily-driver-able naturally aspirated N-Body doing 14s, and I'm impressed, since stock they are likely running 16.5+

cmon stock LS1 fbodies go 12's with a driver that has a clue. Add a bunch of nitrous and you have 11's, add slicks and you have 10's. Still a DD, it's simply a good drag car.
This DD does 11s on pump gas.

You know it wasn't until I read the writing on the hatch that said LS1 Corvette Powered RX7 that I realized it was an FD, not a 'vette.

Hi Everyone-

I think trying to turn lo-10's on a budget of less than $3000-4000 is almost impossible. I too have a First gen. rx-7, and I'm still looking for a cheap way to produce power so I can possibly get into 13's to mid 12's. The to seconds from 12's to 10's costs a lot of $$$.

Well, all motor civics can do 11's or 12's, and civics are about as common as they come. Not very streetable when you get into the 11's, though the sound of one of those idling would sure scare the **** out of any potential sitting next to you at a stop light.

But anyway, people go N/A because they want to be able to say they have an all-motor 10, 11, or 12 second car. They sure don't do it to save money.

Neither of my 7s are anywhere near fast. I do however have a 4g63 colt that is running low 13s right now. Keep in mind i'm at altitude (denver). So subtract around a second or so. as for imports, im probably one of the fastest daily driven ones in the area. at least that i know about. Don't get me wrong, there are quite a few 11 sec imports up here, but none are dd. Of course when you introduce V8s to the story. it changes. but still, not by much. there are plenty of 11 sec dd v8s, but i don't think i've seen any 10 sec dd cars. streetable yes, dd no.
