Don't put it in an engine knowing it will blow. Given the choice of getting new side housings, vs. new side housings + rotor housings + rotors + seals, the choice should be clear.

Keep the bridge thick. I normally keep my customer bridgeports around 1/4" in width. With that, there's no question about long-term reliability. Bridges even 2mm thick will still stand but I'm not sure for how long.

Thanks for your reply. What do you mean by thick, the width or really the thickness. My bridge is 4mm thick. and the width goes from 2 to 3mm (just measured carefully.)
