Don't put it in an engine knowing it will blow. Given the choice of getting new side housings, vs. new side housings + rotor housings + rotors + seals, the choice should be clear.

Keep the bridge thick. I normally keep my customer bridgeports around 1/4" in width. With that, there's no question about long-term reliability. Bridges even 2mm thick will still stand but I'm not sure for how long. B |

My bridge is 4mm thick. and the width goes from 2 to 3mm (just measured carefully.) |
