Bridge Porting ?'s
#1
OK Here is the deal. I have some spare 6 port housings that I want to bridge port. I am wondering should I port the original port up or make the eyebrow larger?
I will try and make a pic of what I am talking about.

This is mostly concearning the secondary and aux ports. OK here goes with (hopefully) better writing.
I was wondering if I should port the regular part of the port up more, or port the eyebrow down? I am shooting for about 5mm thick bridge between the ports and the eyebrow, with the eyebrow part of the port about 1-1.5mm from the coolant oring groove.

And I am going to run a thicker bridge on the primary ports with the little piece of the apex seal on that side. On that could I go with a 4mm or smaller bridge on the secondary/aux ports with out sacraficing reliability?

On my half bridge 6 port, I left the stock opening side almost untouched, and made the eyebrow have more area. I had to turn the apex seals around so that the corner pieces were towards the center iron to do this though. I could hear the corner pieces clicking as I turned the engine by hand before I turned around the seals, and didnt want to risk it. I dont know if opening the main port sooner and making the bridge narrower would have changed that, as I havent done it. But, thinking about it, I could see how having the bridge closer to the tip of the apex seal would prevent that.
