how much porting can you do and still maintain a relatively smooth idle? I'm not looking for perfectly smooth, but smoother than a bridgeport.

Would a huge streetport have a crappy idle? Basically, I'm still debating over going turbo or N/A, and I'd like to maintain the simplicity of N/A if possible. What kind of hp can you get from a streetport? Currently I'm leaning toward turbo, but if I can get a fast car (something in the 13's) out of an N/A I'd go that way. I'd hate to turbo my GTUs for no reason if I can keep it N/A.

Get an extended port (large streetport). The idle will be a little less smooth, kind of lumpy, but not much... nothing like a bridgeport baby!

With good tuning and proper parts you can get a streetport NA into the very low 200's (expect 170-220).

It's pretty tough to get a streetported NA into the 13's. In fact, I haven't heard of anyone who has done it. Maybe high 14's would be a more realistic goal.

What about with a 75-100 shot of nos?

Really though, 0-60 in the mid 6's? That seems pretty slow. I'd go turbo, but I'd just hate to throw out my GTUs rear end and tranny. What about with the nos? Could I run something in the 13's that way?
