Big Name Porting Shops Who Blow It...

all this seems completely out of hand, i dont see how peopel gettign engiones FROM PINEAPPLE and then tearing them down to find ugly ports that are done by "rotary proffesionals" already being an indication that something is going on. i woudl understand if there was a singl eproblem, but it seems that many peopel are having prety hefty issues and action must be taken. if your engien fails why not call the engien builder first and ask what happend unless you know you did something yourself wrong?

Kahren: If you follow the saga of my engine, I did call PR multiple times. First concerning the power output, then I called concerning the coolant puking out the exhaust. At which time Joel told me to "add some prestone block sealer to it". That statement and the fact that Rob was always unavailable to speak with me (at that time) was the reason I made my plight public. I only reported the facts that I have and never slandered PR.
Rob and I have had many conversations since December, (including a 90 minute call last month.). Like I have stated, Rob and I have come to an understanding and we are working the differences out. I will also say Rob is bending over backwards to insure my satisfaction.
I wish it never would have come to this, but in Sept/Oct when the engine puked coolant AND I received less than satisfactory service from one of his FORMER employess, I felt it was in the best interest of others to know. Upon teardown of my engine, the cause of the lack of power was evident, A whole rotor face (sideseals) blowing by.
I am eagerly awaiting the return of the engine with ALL of the mods in it I paid for. After installation of the new beast I will test, tune and Dyno again and present the results fairly and objectively.
You may also wonder why it has taken so long for me to pull the bad engine and get it sent back to PR. For the past year I have been suffering chronic neck and arm pain, accompanied with numbness whenever I do any wrenching. This has now been corrected with Anterior Cervical Fusion of the C5 and C6 vertabrae. So by the time the engine returns to me I will be recovered enough to install it in a timely fashion.
If you have any questions concerning my position regarding Rob Golden or Pineapple Racing, please feel free to ask, I have nothing to hide or conceal.
