ive got a 1st gen, and a bunch of stuff lying around, but whats the better setup?

1. stock 1st gen

2. stock 1st gen with an msd on the leading

3. use an fc or fd coil bypassing the distributor cap on the leading, stock trailing

4. msd+ fc coil on leading, stock trailing

5. rx8 coils + wires

Any solution to the equation that does not involve MSD is incorrect.

what about that dlfidilis thingo...is that a first gen thing? supposively thats pretty good, word on the street at least. on my teetwo i went with fd ignitor, msd coils, msd 6a on leading and some custom trimmed 10mm wires so that the wires dont come near each other or anything else to possibly attract the spark out of the wire, car hasnt run yet so i cant relate my experience, looks mean as hell tho

I have a MSD 6A and a FC coil pack for the leading, and a MSD Blaster 2 coil for the trailing along with some 270 ohm per foot custom spark plug wires and IMO it works great!! (well compared to stock) way quiker starts crisper throttle respons...

had two 6's .replaced both ignitors with em.ITA road race.( I had to drill hole in cap, heavy ionization and needed to vent the heat.)

For carbed n/a engines running on gasoline I've found the factory electronic distributor/ignitors/coils hard to beat. Mostly on PP engines revving to 10,500rpm.
