The Banzai coolant seal is a result of the frustration of using the Mcmaster Carr Teflon Encapsulated O-Ring. The M-C Ring is not quite the correct size for the inner waer jacket seal. Based on my past experience with Ultr-high Vacuum and Cryogenic seals that also had to with stand being cycled from -35ºF to +400ºF every 30 minutes I knew there was a engineered answer out there. The BANZAI SEAL is the result of my collaboration with one of the Nuclear Industries Leading Supliers of O-Rings.

The seal will be constructed of a helical spring surrounded by a Hi-Nickel outer metal jacket; coated with pure silver, which yields under compression to create a seal by filling groove imperfections and assuring face to face contact of the sealing surfaces. The spring is designed with a specific compression resistance and provides an elastic force where each spring coil acts independently; insuring MAXIMUM sealing.

Are these for every rebuild? NO, they are designed for high boost and/or extremeley port applications.

Are they resusable? This is to be determined. The design Engineer thinks so, we need to do actual testing on a "mule" engine to see. If they are they will be invaluable as dyno test engine seals/drag motors and those running carbon seals.

I apologize for the poor quality of the pic, higher resolution pics will be taken soon
