Balancing a 4 rotor?

Can anyone give me any info on what is involved in balancing a 4 rotor motor with a 90 degree offset? I know it will need a custom weight in the front and the rear but what is needed in balancing it. How do they balance the engines with the rotors? Or is it just the shaft?
