Atkins 'new style' 2mm corner seals

The Rx8 corner seals are the same style (countersunk) so I'm thinking there must be something in it.
I'm using the Atkins seal as they are the only 2mm solid I could find. 2mm expansion type corner seals dig into carbon apex seals in no time.

actually if you're wearing them properly you dont put any wieght on you heels, because you cant, without snapping your ankles.
its like suspending the elephant on a 4" long 1" around stick with a hinge (your ankle) at the top

The ones I have had in my hand have a solid plug but no recess chamber on the iron side, which when you think about it, it would allow a gas pocket to build pushing the seal off the iron.
