88' Rx-7 Turbo Ii Question
#1
i just bought an 88' Rx-7 turboII, the origanal problem was the clutch needed replacing. but the owner never got around to fixing it. it sat for 2 years, so i towed it home, bought a clutch kit, changed all the fluids including gas, so my question is this...im not sure how turbo's work, and on a rotary i know even less.
i am affraid to start the car until i know if i should do anything to the turbo. i have learned they use oil to stay lubricated and after 2 years im sure there is no oil in it.
any advice would be greatly apreciated as i dont want to spend a bunch of money on ignorance and impatience so i thought id ask.

dotn worry abotu the turbo part, make sure there is oil in the enigne, take out the EGR fuse which is located under the hood by the driver side shock tower inside alittle black box. pull that fuse crank the motor a few times to get the oil goign thru the motor, for about 10 seconds. then go back and put that fuse in and then start teh car. get out and watch for leaks. since the car has been sittign a while u want to make sure nothign rotted liek a coolant hose and nothign is leaking. take it easy takeit slow for the first few.
