12a N/a Power
#1
I'm wondering how much power the 12a can get street legal, non-turbo. I heard somewhere that it can get from 170-210, is this true? At this level, how much nitrous can the engine take before the apex seals give out? Maybe 50?
If put $1,000 on a 12A in stripped 1st gen, with toyo proxes RA1 street slicks. what will my quarte-rmile time be around?? What about $2,000? $3,000?
I'm 17 years old and I can save up enoguh money to buy a 1st gen, I really ant one because I really like them, my friends can't understand why I want a beater like that but then agian, the don't know what a rotary is

Street-legal as in has a chance of passing emissions? Probably around 170 with a mild extend port.
Now if you didn't have to worry about emissions, you could get roughly 220 out of a bridge port and 280 out of a peripheral port (full race engine really).
No idea on the nitrous.

if you gotta pass smog, maybe 150 at the wheels, and you have to swap back to the stock carb and exhaust every 2 years, or you can be really hardcore and have a stock smog legal motor and the "race" motor and swap em when you need to smog it. its a time honoured tradiation in california

i've heard alot of people say that porting a six port... really doesnt work. is this true? it just doesnt make sense.
This guy once told me the engine allready 'is' ported. and porting it more would not benifit much (maybe 5-10 HP) I dont know what to think.

hook ups are expensive, and due to the upcoming dyno testing, gonna get hard to come by
