Ruffly 25% more power....if your looking for big power (ive gone to this realizatoin) forced induction will get you there alot easier.

I just saw you have a rebuild..you going to tear it apart again to port it? Did you rebuild it yourself?

A few people have tried it or done it.

I bought some sideplates that someone did. I haven't yet used them.

you can port it, the main problem is the 6 port engine housings don't have alot of meat to them so theres not alot of porting ability, on the primary intake ports in particular. and the exhaust diffuser is in the way of porting the exhaust, which you can grind out but is a pain to deal with.

the end plates are fine, and offer a nice mix of low end torque capability and long duration for high end power, with working aux ports... but if you're building the motor it would be worthwhile to use a turbo intermediate housing which has larger ports stock, and more meat to port so you can make the primary ports quite a bit larger than your stock 6 port intermediate housing.... then either grind the exhaust diffusers then port the exhaust ports on your rotor housings , or pickup turbo rotor housings which have no diffuser and port those.

i think the shops just don't like explaining things and don't want to deal with people porting the 6 port intermediate housing and finding the water jacket, then complaining to them.

here is my street ported S5 turbo intermediate (primary) intake port:

I don't have a picture of the S4 NA stock port but you should be able to find one for comparison purposes..

Yea, listen to Pengaru he knows what he's talking about. I have a couple of pics of my n/a housing with a streetport. I had it done because my engine was toast and was going to be apart anyway. I don't think I would pull a decent running engine apart just to port it, unless you were doing it just for fun. I think it would be more cost effective to just spend the money on exhaust and an intake, which would yield good power increases. After all they will be key components in harnessing the extra power out of the port job when the time comes.
