I know of some guys that used Devcon as well and they swear by it. One of them builds Peri port engines and uses the devcon to seal up all of the original stuff. He says that he's never had any problems with it. I'll see if I can get one of his emails and quote it into the thread.

Devcon Plastic Steel for the side housings and Plastic Aluminum for the rotor housings. They also have a stainless filled version and a kit to do under water repairs if that should come up.

A have a quick question about the opening edge for a streetport. How far can it be opened up? I measure about 10mm from the edge of the rotor housing to the edge of the stock port on my S4 13B-T secondaries. If I were to open it up about 1.5mm so that there is 8.5mm to support the corner seal would this work or would my corner seals and/or sideseals get messed up. I would like to get an early opening because the housings are going to be used with 9.7:1 rotors and run as an NA.

You may not get much help here. This is kind of a reference book that get little activity. Post it one the daily frame and many will see it.

I believe that concentrating on the opening edge (and not the closing edge) is what yields high-end power. As far as strict measurements, I've got no idea off the top of my head, but whatever can be done to help the charge stay at velocity and in high volume launch into the chamber on the opening edge is what will yield the most high-end horsepower, IMO.

Below is my street porting as put in ito's thread, showing tools I use and steps along way so others can see, I dont use any sand paper rolls and finish all by hand with burs shown, I prefer to keep port runners rough from my experience works well.

10.8mm is my limit, I never have problems at that range and all is verified with a sectioned rotor tip and cut off shaft to follow seal trace.

The gains going further do not balance out the negatives.

Been doing this exact porting style for last 11 years and works on all cominations of seals, nothing special needs to be done over stock parts to ensure trouble free use.

actually,i think i have ur zorst port sussed,intake no so easy to get the distances/shapes etc off ur pics though.



zorst port looks like levelled floor right though to housing surface,roof of port brought to roof of sleeve and then all squared off and radiused in corners and flowed into factory sleeve.



im by no means sayin it allcomes that easy,but thats gist of it yeah? porting looks bloody brilliant,primaries are massive.nice work.
