If you use the correct epoxy you will have no problems.. We use Epoxy on J ports all the time. We also filled the exhaust ports on the late housings.

I can't remember the correct name off hand but I did post it someplace on this forum. It used to be called Plastic Mastic and it's now called Resinlab. Do a search for Resinlab on this forum and it should come up. I fixed my rear secondary port with it and it's working just fine! Recommended to me by Pineapple Racing. I used three layers letting each dry before putting on another.

but there are two grades of the same stuff. One that easy to order and one that you should call the manufacturer or Mazda for. it more expensive but its serious.

I know of some guys that used Devcon as well and they swear by it. One of them builds Peri port engines and uses the devcon to seal up all of the original stuff. He says that he's never had any problems with it. I'll see if I can get one of his emails and quote it into the thread.

all of u talk about incresed overlap but none has mentioned a tuned exhaust to take advantage of that overlap. a tuned collector does wonders if you guys have spent time on the dyno its very well worth the money. you can pick up a lot of power ona ported engine with a well designed header. i am surprised so many people use ported engines with stock intake and exhaust manifolds.

I haven't touched up the inside yet to get rid of the craters the high speed grinder made but see how the shape of my port looks and tell me when you think.
