I love my FD, but it takes less practice to master N/A drift because there isn't a boost factor. It's all control on the car... You need decent power to CONTINUALLY spin tires through a LONG drift, but it's still all about control.

basically twin turbo is an idea of a time when turbos did not spool worth a **** and it gave some response to the turbo cars of that time. It also sounds cool to posers to say the words TWIN TURBO........

Nowdays you can put a good singel turbine on and it will spool faster and make more power than the stock twins. It also makes the engine bay look nicer. anyway when it comes to drifting Power is not you major concern anyway......................
Hah... I was thinking the same thing. All the kiddies around here with Honda Civics are like "single or twin?" and when I say twin they freak out... I'd hate to burst their bubble and tell them I'm throwing on a custom T-78 single system.

I heard N/A is nice for drifting because it is predictable.. There is no point throughout the drift where the boost kicks in and makes you lose it.. but it is less powerfull so you would have to be on it alot more..

Thumbs down

I beg to differ. You DON'T need power to drift. Try sliding with out powering over. you will start endering corners faster in order to mantain the drift under decel around the whole corner. thats when you start learning about 4 wheel balancing tecniques ect. power over works but is a very basic skill especialy for those of us who have been forunate enough to learn on turbo cars. Try drifting a 1st gen GSL with only 100hp. it take a lot more to maintain a high speed drift.

Back on subject. I've had a SA and it was a great drift car lots of snap in the rear end though. My favorite is my FC. it does a good job of making the 240s blush around here.

This kinda says it all..... There is a lot of emphasis on certain cars and even more emphasis on parts but not a whole lot of emphasis driving. I meet car enthusiasts all the time and lots of guys who love to shop for parts and read about how this turbine does this and this suspension is the **** or whatever. That is all fine and good ya know but if you don't have arms all of those thousands of dollars in parts dissolve into thin air if you can't drive. A good car with good suspension and the requirement of a good LSD is the bottom line. Everything above and beyond that, IMO, should be taken in stages for the beginner. Drive the car a while and try different parts or modifications to see how it helps you do what you want to do in the car. The more you drive the more you will learn and reap benefits from future modifications. All RX-7s are great drift cars and different year models have different quirks that need to be addressed. I would give a lot of respect to someone who shows up at the track in a FB (SA22C) and drifted his/her *** off in it. Hell one day I had to bow down to a couple of Civics who were ripping **** up at Nikko Circuit........I couldn't believe me eyes!!!

FD= Strong body, easy to make power, abundance of aftermarket parts.

FC= Low initial cost, Makes good power(turbo), Lots of room on the inside.

FB= Rare to see drifting, ....... don't know much about these cars so hard for me to find good qualities........LOL

HAHAHAHAHAH a rice filter..............LMAO I like that So true Man there was this dude the other day talking to me right. Well to make a long story short, yet not as interesting.... He went to the circuit for the first time in his whole life a while back. Before that he drove to mountain drift spots and talked on the phone to chicks the whole night(s) Then suddenly after going to the track 1 time, as I am working on my car comes up to me and says " been racing latley?" Im like hmm not in a couple weeks been to busy un******* my car from this past season and getting ready for Auto Salon time. He says with this big punk smirk......yeah went to the track on Friday hehehe I was like congratulations......how was it? Anyway this is getting long.........basically even some losers get pushed by pressure to actually go to the track and they suck of course so it comes down to how much effort you put into it so I give this guy a year and if he is still practicing in between washing and waxing the car all the time then I will allow him to attempt to talk **** to me. Although he is not a Ricer he is more of a Poser As far as I care you can rice the **** out of your car but don't attempt a drift a couple of times and then start trying to talk technical like your a salty dog or something that just makes my stomach knot up a loose the desire to even have you in my vision.............LOL damn yeah so there is a filter and Rice won't even get close to trying but posers sometimes have to participate to uphold the image but the get filtered nonetheless.
