Just trying to clerifly, whats a 1.5 LSD. And a 2 way LSD? Does 2 way mean that it locks up on a shift lock the same as clutch kicking with an LSD? Thanks for the input.

The 1.5 way or 2way description describes how the DIFF works on Decleration. some only work when force is applied throuhg acceleration. Personally I don't understand the exact difference between 1.4 way and 2 way.....it is either working or it isn't. But I have always understood 2 way to be better.

I think 2 way is like a locker rear end and that both wheels turn the same rate. However it is hard when you are turning in tight turns on the street cause the radius is different for each and you get a hop or clunk. 1.5 allows for some non loaded speed difference for street turns but stays locked under load.

The stock LSD if it is a clutch is 2way, if you plan on doing any hardcore drifting get teh 2way, because the 1.5 way will not always lock up under deceleration and you cannot control the drift as well.

I have a TII diff sitting in my living room I was thinking of installing, but then I was thinking of going with a cusco or Kaaz 2 way or something like that. I think that 1.5 means that is is fully locked on acceleration and half way locked on decel and 2 way is fully locked on accel and decel.

posi traction transfors power from the wheel that slips to the wheel that grips, on a LSD both wheels turn at the same speed when it is engaged.
