I saw on drag thread you go to Moroso. That is a fun road course. We raced the 24 hour race there in the 1st SpecMiata in the country. (got a little press in Grassroots Motorsports) I hope to open a cajun rest. or deli around West P.Beach
That track is easy to learn the basics. Awsome through the back straight kink in full 5th gear.

The SCCA made them change the rear straight you have to drop down to second gear to go through a really tight chicane. It is an awesome track I did my first open track day there.
I was supposed to do another one but it was cancelled due to insurance prices. It seems there were 5 deaths last year at that track all from 1/4 mile accidents. The insurance company does not care though so the event was cancelled.
You can see the change in this pic on the back straight. You can see the old route which was ***** out and now once you clear turn 7 you can wind out 3rd gear then brake hard to make the chicane. I was seeing 120 by the time I had to brake again after the chicane. Its a fun track.
I am trying to get in on a Sebring track day. I do it with Chin Motorsports.

I know Rick(Weldon) and that car, that is one fun ride, the door skins are so thin you can see through them. Rick is in hayward, I am about 1.5 hours from him. He used to work on my 7. Anyway, in NorCal, we have NASA, beats the hell out of SCCA. It works like this, 4 groups(high performance driving event), HPDE. You practice as long as you want in HPDE, gradually moving up to group 4(unlimited passing). It runs 150.00 a day for four 20 minute sessions, depending on the group you are in, you have various passing rules. When you feel you are ready(4-8 weekends depending on skill), you take the instructor for a test ride, he grades you on consistency, skill, and knowledge. If you pass, you get a competition license, and then all you need is a car that meets the safety requirements(during HPDE you can use your street car) for the race series you plan to run(the safety requirements are basicly SCCA). If you are running a car that does not fit in a "standard" classes, you can do as I do, and run "Super Unlimited" the ONLY requirements for the class are the basic safety requirements. In other words, I an build a crazy FC, with 345-28-18 slicks, 2400lbs, and 500RWHP, and run it wheel to wheel in a real series. Let me tell you this is THE **** So, if NASA is anywhere near you, it is the way to go. Carl

Looking into it already. I am still going to do the Justin Bell school and possible apply for my liscense. I have already talked to some poeple about NASA and it sounds like a blast to me. Thanks for the info.
All I want to do is drive my car fast on a track.

Like the way you guys have NASA and its growth is great. I instruct at the PCA and BMW clubs now but hope to campaign again this upcoming year.
If you know that car here is the one I had then sold to a friend in Texas. It was the 89 pole car at the Runoffs.
