6th Malaysian Grand Prix: 56 laps at the beautiful Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lampur (held on Ayrton Senna's B-day). Very HOT & Humid 100F at the track w 65%Humidity translating to 140F in the cockpit: drivers losing about 10lbs from sweating!

I could not believe Alonso in last row due to a spin out & Webber in 1st row w Schumi. Webber bogs his launch from startup allowing Ferrari 1-2 & ends up in 9th in the 1st lap. Big Mistake #1. Then Barrichello mistakes in a corner losing momentum & allows Montoya, Kimi & Button to pass him. Hmm loks like a race now.

Alonso gets up to 6th place, a bad pit stop pushes him back to 11th, fights to 7th but ends up in 8th place at the end -good efforts!

Webber pushed Alonso to pit wall on lap 3 & incurs a drive through penalty, then his RR tyre blows up on lap 4 and drops to 20th (Good-bye to podium hopes), & he spins out on lap 25 to be the race's 1st DNF: 3 strikes and yer' OUT!

Ralph's BMW engine detonates on lap 27 making Montoya & his team nervous as it had no previous problems reported by telemmetry.

Michael starts lapping the field in lap 32 and plays with his lead time on Montoya back to 3sec. to 5sec. and more. Bridgestone tyres rule again!

Kimi still on 3rd place until his Mercedes engine blows again (as in Australia) on lap 40. Jensen Button (BAR/Honda) now 3rd! Takumas Sato -started in last row and was in 7th loses engine in lap 53 of 56 (Fans hear BIG Oh SH_T! -in Japanese) So Barrichello starts pushing him to see if Webber's engine will blow before the finish!

Barrichello 4th, Webber 3rd (his 1st podium in 4 yrs in F1), Montoya 2nd and Schummacher wins again by over 10 seconds. His career win #72, leading all but 3 laps.

Too bad it was on television at 2:00 a.m. my time. I missed it.

BTW - It was reported later that Ralphs tranny **** the bed not his engine as was thought at first.

Nice write up thanks for the info.

SPEED TV rebroadcasted the race at 8:00 pm and 1:00 am i think central time. I had that **** on tivo though, no commercials for me!! I don't like the ferraris though. They're too good!!! I'm excited to see that some new guys are coming up. Wasn't Barrichello behind Jensen Button at the end?

Nice. I banned my GF from watching F1 with me, she would get pissed when I would tell here to shut up.
