2nd Round Picks
#1
And yesterday marked the completion of round one of the NHL playoffs with Toronto closing the series against the New York Islanders! What are your picks for the second round?
Colorado/San Jose: Colorado 4-2
Detroit/St. Louis: St. Louis 4-3
Ottawa/Toronto: Toronto 4-2
Montreal/Carolina: Montreal 4-3
I then think Colorado will go on to beat St.Louis 4-2 and Toronto will beat Montreal 4-3. In the Stanley Cup finals, Colorado will beat Toronto 4-2.
I'm totally calling for an upset this round, though, and picking St. Louis over Detroit. I was surprised at last round's upset with Carolina taking New Jersey out of the running...And I was going to have a heart attack and die if the defending champs were taken out by the Queens.
Thankfully, Roy was a brick wall and completed his first playoff game #7 shutout!! It was a beautiful game!
Up tonight: Colorado vs. San Jose in game #1 at the Pepsi Center.
The two times we faced S.J. here in Denver this season, they beat us at home. I'm crossing my fingers and knocking on wood that the superstition will be broken!
Okay...I'm not George Michael or anything, so I'll just stop. What are your guys' picks?

Detroit/St. Louis: St. Louis 4-3

Colorado/San Jose: Colorado 4-1

I think Detroit can take Colorado 4-3 and Montreal will take Toronto 4-3. Detroit will smash Montreal 4-1. I don't even like Detroit but they look good this year and have some serious playoff experience where they need it, even in the coaching staff....
Damn f$#kin FLYERS sold me out! :madgo:
