I think Vosko has gotten a ride in my T04R, so he can give you a better background about the differences between the turbos.

Nonetheless, I do believe that you should set your car up for what you believe you will generally be doing. If you don't know, and you think mainly street driving, and not too much drag racing, then I would say go with a small single like T04E, as you won't probably ever need or use the larger power reserve that you would get had you put on a T04S/R, T-66/T-70, T78/T88, etc.

If you are going to do mainly drag racing, I'd say get some nitrous and buy a big turbo and spool the turbo with the nitrous

If you are going to road-race, I'd say get something that you know you will get maximum powerband use out of.. I have a T04-R cutback with a .84, and damn it spools so nice. Although I think that it is limiting my top power range, and i am willing to sacrifice some, and will swap to a 1.00 or a 1.15 split, to gain that extra power in the top end.

In case you were wondering:

438RWHP @ 1 bar @ 11.3 A/F (if i recall correctly the last time I read the dyno)

I am aiming for 500, just for ***** and grins.

we'll see how that goes.

3 turbos!!!!
i've seen it on a mkIV supra. Its crazy, but the turbos aren't that big. There are so many pipes and clutter its horrible. I would consider that "other"

dats nutz

to much money...way to much money to burn

might want to look into an apex rx6 turbo (yes I own one) way better than stock twins.

less clutter in the engine and as others have said so eloquently fewer stuff to go wrong.

however with bigger turbos comes the necessity for ECU upgrade, fuelpump upgrade, injecter upgrade new downpipe tuner time ect. ect. so get ready to hurt thats Visa card
