What would a bridge port run like with about 6-8psi flowing in?



Anyone tried this?

 

Alot of people run turbocharged bridegeports with good results. So a supercharger should work well. Just remember that a bridegeport makes alot of its power at high revs.

 

i bet with a supercharger it would have some low end v8 torque

 

Dunno how it would go with a BP as most of the intake would get forced out of the exhaust. However, I have seen it successfull on a Peripheral Ported motor. The PP ports where moved further around so as to reduce overlap.

 

I think this would depend on the port.



A Full Bridgeport:

This would have the same effect as a long duration cam motor with a Turbo on it..... which is a no no.. Because your boost pushes gases out through the intake due to the long overlap. With the Mazda you aren't changing the exhaust duration and only the intake, However with a Bridgeport there is a period of time when the intake and exhaust are both open which = poor idle, poor mileage which would be enhanced by the supercharger/turbo.



Upper RPM's would be great.



I would pay close attention to the amount of overlap you are creating if you are going to boost it at all. Any good engine builder would be aware of this.
