I have not been able to run the completed motor. I just made a 1 off header and midpipe for the car, and hopefully I will be able to start the car next week, pending if parts are delivered on schedule. Keep in mind I have a full time job, as the shop is completly full of cars. I am planning on running a few coated motors and tearing them down, but lets face it, it takes a lot of money to do this R&D, and currently I have none of either..

well im not looking for that kind of stuff, im just interested in whether it will bring the housings back to spec and remove any 'grooving' in the housing surface. I'll believe you that it stands up to life inside the motor, i just want to know if itll bring my housings back to usable condition.

i think he meant that he wants to know if the coating for the housings will actually work and not flake off during use. i know there was a guy iver at club that had a process for resurfacing rotor housings, but dont know whta it was.

Thumbs up

Just thinking, is this a spray on solvent based coat?

What other colors can the exhaust be done in? black- chrome- stock iron?

"looks like the side plates are of a darker color then the rotors"

what's the temperature rating of protection held up to?..

I don't know of a limit, if it won't burn off in the combustion chamber, you won't be able to burn it off in your exhaust. I do know it fully cures at 3000degs...

"Self-clearancing"

My Question: Where does this hard material go when it "self-clearances"?

Another Question:

You make the following statement" "I do know it fully cures at 3000degs"

Does the applicator fully cure the product when applying, or does he send back an application; that is not fully cured?

If he does cure the the finished product at 3000ºF, how do they account for the warping and the dimensional shift?

How thick is this coating applied?
