Oil Cooler
#1
i have an 88 fc n/a a/t, i want to switch it to 88 fc t/c m/t:
right now im upgrading to a koyo rad, but for the next few weeks till i get my other car going i will need to use my rx.
since its an a/t and im getting a m/t koyo rad it wont have the a/t oil cooler anymore,
1) can i just loop the trans oil lines back together? (only going to need it for a few weeks, plus im in MI so it wont get over 40 deg out)
2) if i need to cool the tans oil can i use an aftermarket (engine) oil cooler for tans oil then switch it to engine oil later when i put the m/t in it?
2a) if i do this any other ideas or things i should be aware of for mounting the intercooler, i was thinking of even getting another stock engine oil cooler and stacking them somehow or something. then put the intercooler infront of those.
my hp goal is 350-400 and do plan on an engine rebuild when i have $$. the turbo is prolly gonna be med size.

i talked to my friend he said my car should be alright for as long as its cold. it runs cold anyways
plus those tans oil lines are so small they arent high flow or anything so we think its only useful anyways for when its hot out.
Merry christmas.
next part will be fuel rails and injectors, and lines, i upgraded the pump already. thoughts on some good ones for my hp goal?

I suspect you won't have any problems, but if you can turn overdrive off when driving, that should save you some transmission heat.
