Oil cooler and radiator
#2
I'm doing the same thing kinda. I got a free good condition FC oil cooler from a TII. I will soon be making some custom oil lines as the difference between 1st and 2nd gen lines. But getting a 1st gen oil cooler, it will be easy to hook up and get oil lines from Mazdatrix or find a set from someone or custom lines will be best since they are cheaper then mazdatrix, but still new!
You need to get the 81 or older oil filter mount, new o-rings and new nuts for it. Plug off the T-connection on the hose that goes back towards the firewall and get a heater hose for a 81 or older 1st gen. THen you'll need to plug off a hose from the pipe near the heater core conections that goes to the upper water/oil cooler connection. Thats pretty much all of it...I think. You will need the rear lower oil hose bolt that is meant for the 81 or older oil cooler as well.
