Has anyone tried the MSD 6A on only the leading plugs before buying 3 to use on all plugs? I would like to see if there is really any benefit from spending the extra $300. If there is a direct benefit from boosting the trainling plugs, why not use the DIS-4 HO? It can run 3 coils and you would save $120. I know this makes me sound cheap, but it would also be easier to mount only 1 ignition module on the car.
You wouldn't use the DIS 4, you would use the DIS 2 on the trailing and the Digital 6 plus on the leading. And if anything you should use 4 coils.

Yes, 4 coils and the direct fire option on the E11. But why not the DIS 4 HO? Using the DIS 2 and the Digital 6 Plus costs even more than 3 6A's. If the ECU determines the spark timing, why not use the simplest ignition control. The Digital 6 puts out the most voltage, but is that little extra required? Has anyone asked MSD if the DIS-4 can fire two channels 5~10 degrees apart?

If possible I would like to use the E11 in direct fire mode, MSD DIS-4 and 4 Blaster DIS Racing Coils. A clean and easy to install package.
