You could do what im doing, and just put a straight pipe in place of the cat, and keep my muffs. I'm only doing this till I got enough for the high flow cat and back.

Oh, and I'd say get racingbeat headers.

Hey,I just installed a racing beat header on my "83" & she flies...I've used a cat +pre-silencer & a racative can on the end,so I think it's a clean flow (to what I see),but it seems to be a bit on the loud side.I'm going to wrap the header with exhaust tape to try to quiet it down + (to my knowledge) it might squeeze some more power out of it.I use to race a 250G.P.bike & it was an old trick to keep the heat contained & to get a touch more power...If anyone knows better, please let me know...thanks f1ernie ut:

I'm going to wrap the header with exhaust tape to try to quiet it down...
I don't think that will help with the sound of your exhaust.

Oh,well,I'll give it a shot.I just hope it doesn't keep to much heat inside & cook the cat or anything else... :newburn:

do you wanna just change the header or get the whole exhaust done. i would say just save up a bit more and get the whole thing done at once it will come out cheaper.

just one warning if you do get the whole exhaust done its gonna be really loud......but its gonna make driving her a lot more fun too :teufel:
