Does anybody have headers on the RX?? If so what kinda are they, and you feel an increase in power? I'm sick of my heavy factory collector, and poopy dp.

I just thought I'd get some more stuff when I order my Clutch master cyinder.

I heard the Racing Beat headers are great and give noticable horsepower gains, but i heard it makes it a lot louder. U would also have to buy the presilencer so th whole thing bolts up which is like $400..

On the RB headers they say that you wouldn't have great hp gains unless you have a carb intake, mabey there just trying to sell there new carb intake for 6 port engines... :notify:

I can't afford the whole exhaust. But my y-pipe is not factory I don't think, and still in good condition. I was just gonna ge the headers and get some REAL power gains and replace my gutted cat with a straight pipe to the Y.

Also I was looking a the racing beat headers and I didn't see a hole for the Oxg. sensor, do I need that for the car to run good??? I saw the Monza ones in the Victoria Britsh catalog had the hole, Plus there have a pair of headers w/ Ceramic coating for :$249.00???

What should I do...... :dontgetit:

The RB header has the hole for the O2 sensor, but at the collector.

I've got the Racing Beat header on mine and the quality is top notch. This is the best looking header I have ever seen. The O2 sensor as mentioned is pretty far down the pipe, I dunno if that makes a difference (maybe it helps it to live with the Mazda's fire breathing exhaust).

They have it at the collector because you want a consistent reading from both rotors, not from just one.

It tells the ECU the approximate air/fuel ratio, and under light throttle and/or cruise conditions the ECU will adjust the fuel injection according to the O2 sensor to maintain a 14.7 ratio.
