I am using an spi 8.5lb flywheel. I don't have any problems with keeping my boost or revs up, just shift real fast. Took me a couple of days driving in town to get use to it, but after that no problem.
I completly agree with that. I got the bonez 8.5lbs i also never have take off problems or any drop in boost between shifting, having a short throw shifter and a light flywheel is unreal combo i love it
What short shifter did you get?

I agree that if you re-learn how to drive the car with a lightweight flywheel you won't have any problems. When I put mine in I stalled my car every damn light for an hour, but once the new clutch wore in and I learned how to compensate, I have no problems keeping the rpm's up between shifts on a straight launch. Oh yeah, and the shortshifter does make it better!

I had the 9.5 lb. flywheel with my current setup, but I replaced it with the stock flywheel. The car seems to feel a little better with the stock flywheel.

I personally would go with the light steel. For reasons stated above, specially if boosting and will drag race often. That is unless i find an aluminum cheaper.

Everyone was giving me the business when they saw my aluminum flywheel. My friend Dave is going to get a TII transmission, etc. put into his car. So he'll probably use my aluminum flywheel.

It's ok. He just always thinks there's something wrong with it. He's an automotive hypochondriac. :tounge:

I think he's coming. Another friend of mine is coming along with a few other cars, but he won't have his TII.
