No, but I wouldn't qualify "sports sedan" as 3600 lbs. My Taurus weighs 400lbs less, and even then I consider that to be a little bulky. It might just be me, though....

im just saying that i don't think trying to compete with cars that are a couple hundred pounds lighter with better handling, etc, is going to help them win any customers

no offense...I don't think they are trying to compete witha ford taurus.... I still don't like it, but I think they are trying to compete with the audis g35x, volvos, saabs and the awd bmw. Where I think they are makinga mistake is..does that crowd who can afford those types of cars realyl drive a mazda..and on the flip side..the boy racer group who has grown up with rxs really want a bloated, understeering overpriced mazda 6..specially whne you get twice the performance from cars that are cheaper and in the same price class. I think they'll sell a few because you have all of those brand loyalists that will buy anything with a mazda logo on it...and maybe they'll sell a few to the people who can't afford the audis, bmws, saabs and volvos.

Ummm..I'm sorry Rob, but I don't know if I understand what you were trying to say. Were you saying that the MS6 is going to compete with the Camry? If that's the case, that doesn't make sense to me. Please clarify because I know I'm probably missing something obvious. :/

hey, don't go knockin' a taurus until you've ridden in a well-maintained gen1/2 SHO it's no autox champ, but there's a reason that motor's called the Yamahammer (or, if you're lucky, getting to ride in a turbo or s/c'd sho)

im saying they are not competing with the WRX and the EVO, so the fact that it weighs a few pounds more is not a factor because in theory people will buy the car who want more refinement.

Besides- insurance on a Mazda 6 is dirt cheap!

The new camry might take away some of thier sales though, the reliability and resale of the Toyota is very strong, even though it doesnt have AWD it does have 260hp V6 and is restyled
