I have heard many times about how expensive it is to import a car for another nation (Austrailia to be specific). Anybody know any articles about what I need to do to legalize one of these cars.

There are a lot of resources on google for this. I looked into it to getting a 2002 spirit R imported. I found a company in FL that can do it for about $55K ..

Here's a FAQ i found while searching:

#1 way i have heard, pull the motor, ship the car over as a "kit" car, and then ship the motor seperately, reinstall the motor state-side, and there you go... thats how my buddy got his r33 gtr

I have heard of that. I was just kinda interested in importing a Nissan U13 Bluebird SSS Ltd. Attesa (U13 Altima with SR20DET and AWD, a much sought after rally car according to some folks I have talked to in Austrailia). I gave up on the idea plus now I got a new car.
