I always though that the snappy nature of the mr2 was for the most part down to the lack of a Limited Slip Differential.

if i'm not mistaken, for the turbocharged models, i think they were an option for 1991-92, and then became standard from 1993 on - but i may stand corrected.
I had a diff in my 1990- which is a stateside 91, not the old body.
Anyway, its a lot nicer having a diff, but it had more problems then that. I mean I loved my MR2, it was quick, women dig it (long as your not whale hunting), and you can get 2 in it pretty easily, an one in the trunk if need be (well Japanese) as long as see is little.
Anyway it has good power, doesnt really every get out of control. Its a cool little car all around, I just think there are several other cars that are better. Supra is not one of these hehe
I had the option at one point. 700hp MR2, whoop all the GTRs over here. Get a Supra all done up, for around $18,000 1995 though. Or get a bone stock FD, except for the boost gauge and Apexi sus (T-max) so like I said stock. After thinking about it and driving all of them again, I got the FD.
